The beautiful Suné January was crowned Miss Namibia 2017 (Miss Universe Namibia 2017) at the conclusion of the pageant held Saturday, July 1, at the Windhoek County Club.

The 23-year-old newly crowned beauty queen is a Computer Applications graduate from Rehoboth and is expected to compete in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant.

To join beauty pageants has been a childhood dream of Suné. She has been eyeing to compete in a beauty pageant since she was a kid. For Suné, joining pageants is “a wonderful platform to bring about change in our country”.

Romilly Mouton was declared first runner-up and Tessia Mutwamezi finished second runners-up. The rest of the Top 5 were Zandria Swart and Sunet Van Schalkwyk.
