A classic beauty and has enormous sex appeal, these propelled Miss France 2016 Iris Mittenaere to victory and be crowned as Miss Universe 2016, and Queen of Pageants 2016 1st Runner-up.
Iris is only the second woman from France to win the Miss Universe crown. Her victory came 63 years after the first victory of a French woman at Miss Universe after Christiane Martel won Miss Universe 1953. She was also the first European to win the pageant since 2002 when Oxana Fedorova of Russia won but later on dethroned by the organization.
Iris’ beauty is reminiscent of the classic era. She exudes an understated elegance but with a hint of a bombshell of the old James Bond era. She was also very articulate, delivering an impressive answer albeit a bad job by the translator. As such, her victory has been universally accepted.
The reigning Miss Universe received high scores from our judges, excelling in all metrics used. Her evening gown presentation during the Miss Universe 2016 competition was very memorable, and she looked classy during the much-shortened swimsuit round.
While taking up dentistry at the Lille 2 University of Health and Law Iris joined Miss France representing Nord-Pas-de-Calais. She won the prestigious title and went on to compete at Miss Universe 2016 in the Philippines. Winning arguably the most sought-after pageant crown in the planet just validates Iris Mittenaere’s well-deserving placement as Queen of Pageants 2016 1st Runner-up.
