Michelle Isemonger has been selected as Miss International New Zealand 2017. She will compete at Miss International 2017 in Tokyo, Japan in November.
The 18-year-old beauty from Auckland placed second runner-up at Miss World New Zealand 2017 pageant. With her election, Michelle Isemonger will compete in the third oldest international beauty event.
Upon given the news, Michelle expressed her gratitude on her Facebook account. To quote, Michelle said:
“I am so proud to be your Miss International New Zealand 2017!I cannot say thank you enough to all of the sponsors who allowed me to get where I am today!Along with the amazing support system, I have including my friends, family and everyone online!A special thank you to Rose, Des, Hannah, and Kylie. You all work so hard behind the scenes and I cannot say thank you enough for the work you do! You are truly miracle workers.”
New Zealand already won Miss International in 1971. Kiwi beauty Jane Cheryl Hansen won Miss International, the only victory of New Zealand among major beauty tilts.
In 2013, Casey Radley placed second runner-up to Miss International 2013, Bea Rose Santiago. She also won Miss Friendship.
