Let’s take a closer look into the Miss International 2016 Evening Gown worn by Kylie Verzosa of the Philippines.
Kylie Verzosa is the sixth woman from the Philippines to win the Miss International crown, making it the second most successful in the Japanese-owned pageant. Venezuela is currently the leader of the pack with seven crowns.
During the Miss International 2016 finals held in Tokyo, Japan Kylie Verzosa wore a gown designed by Philippine-based designer Francis Libiran. He is also the one who designed the winning gown of Miss World 2013 Megan Young, also from the Philippines.
Kylie wore a pastel lilac gown which featured an intricate sequined embroidery that Libiran was known for. The color suits Kylie and it is not too loud which is appropriate for the conservative and very demure Japanese audience.
The gown’s silhouette accentuated Kylie’s figure and fit her perfectly. Also, the length of the gown was correct, without showing the platform heels that beauty pageant candidates usually wear to add some height.
It is a stunning gown made for a winner. The gown looks like very couture and is very beautiful. In fact, it has this subtle glitters while on stage, highlighting Kylie’s beautiful face without upstaging her.
